CO₂e Emissions – Transparency Built In
We display full CO₂e emission data for every ConSet product directly on our website. This number reflects total greenhouse gas emissions throughout the product's life cycle-from raw materials and manufacturing to packaging, transport, use, and end-of-life disposal. On each product page, you'll see the emission value in kilograms (kg) next to a cloud-shaped "CO₂e" icon, offering a quick, transparent way to assess environmental impact and support sustainable choices. Our calculations rely on trusted Danish tools such as Klimakompasset (Climate Compass) and Bæredygtig Bundlinje (Sustainable Bottom Line).

Life Cycle Assessment – A Smarter Way to Design
To support informed sustainability decisions, we've conducted a full Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for our desks. Performed by an independent consultant and rigorously reviewed by TÜV, the LCA adheres to international standards (EN14040, EN14044, EN14071). It highlights opportunities to reduce CO₂e emissions while maintaining the high quality and reliability ConSet is known for.

Environmental Responsibility – Safe Materials
While we primarily design and distribute finished products, our suppliers are held to high environmental and ethical standards. ConSet is committed to ensuring that everything we produce aligns with modern sustainability values—from responsible sourcing to safe disposal.
All ConSet products are free from harmful substances such as:
- Formaldehyde (beyond strict EU thresholds)
- Lead, mercury, cadmium
- Hexavalent chromium
- Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)
- Polybrominated diphenyl ethers (PBDE)

All wood used in ConSet tabletops complies with the strict E1 formaldehyde emission standard, supporting healthier indoor air quality. In fact, most of our tabletops meet the even stricter E0 standard.

Electronics & Compliance
All electrical components, including user panels and transformers, comply with the RoHS directive, ensuring they are free from hazardous substances that could harm people or the environment. We encourage customers to disassemble desks for proper disposal. ConSet products also meet the WEEE directive, with all applicable parts clearly marked for recycling and electronic waste collection.
